The Concert DVD, mixed in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound, features the highly acclaimed USMA Cadet Glee Club of West Point, Directed by Constance Chase with a guest appearance by Tony Award winning Broadway star Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Flower Drum Song, the voice of Jasmine in Aladdin). Also appearing is world-renowned Manhattan recording star, Daniel Rodriguez. Filming and recording began this past October in the magnificent Cadet Chapel at West Point. The DVD and stereo CD showcase inspirational and patriotic choral works specifically arranged for this recording by renowned arranger/composer Don Fraser.
The goal of the Stand Ye Steady project is to publicize the Glee Club, the Academy and its heritage and, through the music, make a clear statement of support for members of the U.S. Armed Forces who have served and are now serving this great country. A portion of the proceeds from its sales will be donated to various organizations supporting the men and women of our Armed Forces and their families.
